Terms of Service
These terms apply when you book or use services from Apex UAV LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Apex UAV," "we," "us"), a drone photography and video business based in Ormond Beach, Florida. By booking a job or paying a deposit, you agree to these terms.
1. Our services
We provide aerial, 360° and thermal photography, video and mapping, including real estate and land, virtual tours, roof and property photo documentation, thermal and solar imaging, maps and 3D models, construction progress, weddings, events, sports, golf courses, resorts and boats, film and music videos, night and holiday shoots, action sports and motorsports, adventures and custom shoots. Every flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot and covered by liability insurance. A job may be flown by Jonnie or by a vetted Apex network pilot.
Roof, property, thermal and solar work is imagery only. We are not licensed home inspectors, roof inspectors, engineers, electricians or contractors. Our photos, video and thermal images are not a home, roof, solar or electrical inspection and do not include any opinion on the condition, safety, value or remaining life of a roof, structure or system. For that, hire an appropriately licensed Florida professional. Thermal results depend on the weather and conditions at the time of the flight.
Lost pet searches. We use a thermal drone to look for your lost dog or other pet. We can't promise to find it. You pay for the search time, not the result. When we spot an animal, we text you a map pin and a photo and guide you to it, but we never try to catch or carry an animal. That part is up to you. We may fly at night under FAA rules, and we stop or move the search if weather, airspace or safety calls for it. Search photos stay private and are never used in our portfolio.
Maps, 3D models and volumes are for planning, not a survey. They are not a boundary, mortgage, ALTA or topographic survey, and they can't be used where Florida law requires a licensed surveyor and mapper. Measurements and volumes are estimates, typically within a few percent, unless the quote says ground control was used. Property lines we draw on land listing photos are approximate and come from public county maps.
Crop health maps are imaging only. We never spray or drop anything on fields. That requires an FAA Part 137 certificate.
We never fly over people who aren't part of the shoot. At weddings, events, games and fireworks, the pilot stays off to the side of guests, players and crowds, and may decline a shot that isn't safe or legal.
2. Booking and deposits
- How you pay. Payments go through our secure Square checkout or a Square invoice, by credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The one exception: when Apex UAV's owner, Jonnie Hoy, flies your shoot himself, you may pay him cash in person, and you'll get an emailed receipt. We don't accept checks, money orders, payment apps, gift cards from other businesses, or trades of goods or services. Network pilots are never allowed to take any payment from you, including cash. If anyone else asks you to pay another way, don't pay, and call or text us at (386) 243-5716.
- You book through a free Apex account. There's no fee or subscription for the account. It's where you see your job's progress, our updates, your payments and your files. You can delete it yourself any time you don't have a job in progress.
- A booking is confirmed when we accept it and you pay a 50% deposit. The deposit counts toward your total.
- Your time slot is held once your deposit is paid. Until then, someone else can book the same time. If they pay first, we'll ask you to pick another time before you pay. We never book a pilot for two jobs at the same time.
- Booking fee. Every booking made on our website has a booking fee of 5% of the package price after discounts, at least $5 and at most $25. It covers payment processing, scheduling and support.
- No travel fees. We never charge for travel, anywhere in the United States. Apex pays the pilot's mileage itself.
- If a farther pilot flies your job. If no pilot close to you takes your job within about a day, a pilot who lives farther away may fly it. Your price doesn't change.
- The price at checkout is your price. It changes only if the property is bigger than you booked (see section 3), you add extras, or a discount can't be verified (see Discounts). For very large or unusual jobs, we may decline a booking we can't staff, and refund anything you paid.
- Extra time or shots on site. If you ask for more than your package includes, we text you the price first. Your "yes" by text adds it to your bill. If the pilot waits more than 30 minutes for access, it counts as no access (section 4).
- Custom projects are quoted separately, and the quote states the deposit due.
Discounts and promotions
- One discount per booking. First-flight offers, the $25 referral discount, the Realtor partner discount, the hero discount and the birthday discount can't be combined with each other. Each booking gets the single largest discount it qualifies for, figured automatically when you book.
- First flight. One per person, per property address and per card, on your first booking, and only on packages with a listed price (not custom quotes). A new email address doesn't make it a first flight.
- Referrals. When someone books with your referral link or code, they get $25 off (or a bigger discount if they qualify for one). You earn a $25 credit once their shoot is paid in full, and it comes off your next booking automatically, on top of any other discount, but never below $0. Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred. The code must belong to a different customer: you can't refer yourself, including through a second email address. If a booking that used a credit is cancelled, the credit goes back to you. If the referred booking is refunded or charged back, the credit is removed. Credits expire 12 months after you earn them.
- Realtor partners. 10% off real estate and 360° tour packages for approved partners booking with their partner email, for their own listings.
- Heroes. Veterans and active-duty military get 15% off, and police officers, firefighters, EMS and 911 dispatchers get 10% off, on packages with a listed price. Your pilot checks your proof at the shoot:
- Veterans: the pilot takes a photo, in the Apex app, of your driver's license or state ID showing the Veteran designation, or of your DD-214 with your Social Security number covered.
- Active-duty military and first responders: the pilot looks at your ID in person, and you confirm that you qualify. We never photograph or copy a military ID card, or any federal ID or badge. Federal law doesn't allow it.
- The photo is deleted once it's checked. Only Apex can see it, and we delete it as soon as we approve or decline it. We keep only a note that your discount was verified, how and when. See our Privacy Policy.
- If valid proof isn't shown at the shoot, or we can't verify it, the discount is removed and the regular price applies before your balance invoice is sent.
- Birthday month. 10% off one booking during your birthday month, once every 12 months, on a listed package or on a custom quote. To qualify:
- Your birthday (month and day) must be on file with us at least 30 days before you book. You add it when you create your free Apex account, and you can add or fix it only within the first 30 days of the account. Fixing it restarts the 30-day wait. After that, only Apex can change it: call or text us, and we may ask for an ID.
- The booking must be placed during your birthday month. The shoot itself can be later.
- It's one per person. Using more than one email address, account or name to get it more than once isn't allowed.
- It applies to the package price or quote only, not to rush fees, add-ons or taxes. It can't be added to a booking after it's made or applied to a past booking.
- We may ask for an ID showing your birthday at the shoot. If the birthday on file isn't yours, or can't be confirmed, the regular price applies.
- Fine print for all discounts.
- Discounts have no cash value. They can't be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash or credit.
- Unless stated otherwise, discounts apply to the package price only, not to rush fees, add-ons, deposits already paid, or taxes.
- They don't apply to gift card purchases, pilot network jobs, or work for a business you resell to others.
- If a booking with a discount is cancelled, that discount can be used on one new booking within the same birthday month or promotion period. It never applies to two bookings.
- We may refuse or reverse a discount gotten by providing false information, using several accounts, or any other abuse. If we reverse one, the regular price is due before files are delivered.
- We may change or end any promotion at any time for future bookings. A discount already shown on your booking confirmation is honored, unless it was gotten by abuse.
- Gift cards. Treat a gift card code like cash: we can't replace a lost or shared code. Gift cards don't expire. If a booking paid with a gift card is refunded, the refund goes back on the card, not in cash. If the gift card purchase is disputed with the bank, the card is cancelled.
Giving back. Apex UAV is a registered community fundraiser for Wounded Warrior Project, and every job we fly helps support it. Our donations come out of our own money. They never add to your price, and they aren't tax-deductible for you. If you want to give yourself, you can do it on our fundraiser page. Apex UAV is an independent fundraiser. We aren't part of Wounded Warrior Project, and they don't endorse us.
3. Final payment and delivery
- When your files are ready, we send a preview and a Square invoice for the remaining balance.
- Full-resolution files are delivered by private download link once the balance is paid in full.
- Balances unpaid 30 days after the invoice date may be sent to collections, and the image license in section 7 does not begin until payment is complete.
- Previews are for checking your shoot only. Don't post, print or use them until you've paid.
- Payment disputes. Please talk to us first. We fix real problems. If you dispute a payment with your bank or card company after you get your files, your license to use them ends, and you must stop using them and take them down. We'll send the bank proof of delivery.
- 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not happy with your photos or video, tell us within 30 days of delivery. We review every request. First, we'll fix it or reshoot it for free. If that still doesn't make it right, we refund what you paid for that job, including the booking fee, to the card or gift card you paid with. A refund ends your license to use the files, so you agree to stop using and delete them. The guarantee doesn't cover paid extras you add after delivery, and roof, storm, inspection, thermal, solar and mapping files are delivered unedited on purpose, so a request to edit them isn't covered. We never trade refunds or discounts for a review, good or bad.
- Each package lists what you get, about how long the pilot is on site and flying, and when your files will be ready. Photos usually arrive within 24 hours and no more than 48 hours after the flight. Most video and 360° tours take 2 to 3 business days, and larger edits, maps and models take the time shown on the package. Times can run longer if weather or a re-fly is needed.
- 360 tours are priced by size. You pick the size of the space (finished square feet) when you book. Your pilot confirms it on site. If it turns out bigger, the price moves to the correct size, we tell you by email and text, and the difference is added to your final bill. Homes over 5,000 square feet and commercial spaces over 40,000 square feet get a custom quote.
- We check public property records. For 360 tours and land, mapping and crop jobs, we look up the job address in public property records for the finished square feet and the acreage, and we price the job from those records. If you think the records are wrong, or you only need part of a property flown, you can enter your own number and tell us why when you book. Your pilot checks the size on site and makes the call. If the space or the area to fly is bigger than what you booked, the price moves to match (or we send a custom quote if it's bigger than the package covers), and we tell you before your final bill. Pilots only fly what was booked until the new price is agreed.
- Edited unless you opt out. Package prices include editing: we correct the color, light and horizon and cut the video to the lengths listed. If you'd rather have the original camera files, delivered exactly as shot, you can skip editing when you book and pay the lower price shown (about 10% less), or get both. Roof, storm, inspection, thermal, solar and mapping files are records, so they're never edited. Construction progress editing is brightness and color only.
- Extra editing. Licensed music, logos or titles, extra vertical cuts, sunset or blue skies and removing temporary things cost extra, at the prices shown when you book. Bigger edits (longer films, color grading and the like) are quoted at $75 an hour before we start, and we only do them after you say yes.
- Sky changes and removing things. We only replace a sky or remove temporary things (like cars, trash cans or signs) if you ask for it when you book and describe exactly what you want. We don't remove damage or permanent features, such as power lines, cracks or neighboring buildings. Roof, storm, insurance, inspection, thermal, solar and mapping files are never edited, and construction progress photos only get brightness and color corrections, because others rely on them being accurate. If you use edited photos to market a property, you're responsible for following your MLS and advertising rules.
4. Cancellations, weather and rescheduling
- You cancel 48 hours or more before the flight: your deposit is refunded, minus any card processing fees.
- You cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, or no one is available for access: the deposit is kept.
- Weather, wind, airspace or safety: if we can't fly safely or legally, we reschedule at no charge. The pilot decides whether it's flyable. If we can't find a workable date within 30 days, we refund your deposit. If you turn down two dates we offer, the normal cancellation rules apply.
- The booking fee isn't refunded when you cancel. It is refunded when we cancel, or when weather or airspace stops the job.
- If we miss your shoot, you choose: a new date at no charge, or a full refund.
- Airspace we can't get authorized: if the FAA or another authority doesn't authorize the flight, we refund your deposit in full.
5. The pilot's final call
For safety and legal reasons, the pilot in command may delay, change, shorten or cancel any flight at any time. This includes weather, wind, nearby people or aircraft, airspace restrictions, Florida laws on critical infrastructure and privacy, and anything else that makes a flight unsafe or unlawful. We will not fly over crowds, record people in private spaces, or break FAA rules for any shot.
6. Your responsibilities
- You confirm that you own the property or have permission from the owner to have it photographed, and that you'll arrange any access we need.
- You're responsible for claims, fines or legal costs caused by false information you give us or by how you use the files, and you'll cover them for us and our pilots.
- You'll let us know about anything that affects safety, such as pets, gates, power lines, tall trees or events on site.
- You're responsible for getting releases from any people you want to feature in the footage.
- You'll use your real name and your own email and phone number, and you won't pose as anyone else, book in someone else's name without their permission, or let anyone else use your account. Pilots and businesses must also be who they say they are; we check.
- You won't try to get into anyone else's information, break or overload the website or apps, use bots or scripts, or get around our security. We block and log these attempts, close the accounts involved, and report them to law enforcement when the law allows.
Your information is protected. We never sell or give out customer or pilot information, and we only share what each person needs to do the job. See how we protect your information and the rest of our Privacy Policy.
7. Who owns the photos and video
- Apex UAV keeps the copyright to all photos, video and tours we create.
- Once you've paid in full, you get a non-exclusive, permanent license to use the files for the purpose you booked them for, such as a property listing, your business's marketing or your personal use.
- Your license is for you and your business only, and you can't transfer it. A new listing agent or a buyer needs their own. You may not resell the files or license them to others without our written permission. Real estate agents may share listing images with the MLS and listing websites.
- Roof, storm and inspection photos may be shared with the property's owner, insurer, adjuster or lender, but never changed, and never used in ads without the owner's OK.
- If you break these rules, your license ends.
- Portfolio: when you book, we ask whether we may show your shoot in our portfolio. We only use it if you say yes. Even then, we show at most two photos and one short video clip from a job on our website, app and social media, whether we flew it or a pilot in our network did. Never the full set, and never your name or street address. We only show them after your files are delivered. Saying yes doesn't mean your photos will be used. You can change your answer any time in your account, and we'll take them down.
Film, TV and music video jobs. The production gets the raw footage and a license to use it in the project named in the quote, in any media, for as long as they like. Apex UAV may keep a copy for our records but won't show it publicly without the production's OK.
7a. Website content and copyright
- We own what's on this site. The photos, video, 360° tours, text, prices, design, the Apex UAV app and the Apex logo on this website are owned by Apex UAV, or used with the owner's permission. Pilots in our network assign the copyright in their Apex work to Apex UAV.
- Look, don't take. You're welcome to view the site and share links to our pages. You may not copy, download, save, screenshot for reuse, edit, repost, frame, sell or otherwise use any photo, video or other content from this site without our written permission. That includes removing a watermark, and using our content to train or feed AI tools.
- No scraping. You may not use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to copy content, prices or pilot information from this site or the app.
- Our name and logo. Apex UAV™ and the Apex logo are trademarks of Apex UAV. Don't use them in a way that suggests we made, approved or sponsor something we didn't.
- Customers' files. If you booked a job, section 7 explains the license you get for your own photos and video.
- Report a problem. If you see our photos or video used somewhere without permission, or you believe something on our site uses your work without permission, email flyapexuav@gmail.com with a link to the content and how to reach you. We'll look into it promptly and remove anything that shouldn't be here.
- Using our content without permission ends any permission you had to use this site, and we may take legal action, including under U.S. copyright and trademark law.
8. Limit of liability
We carry liability insurance and take great care on every job. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a lost sale or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under Florida law.
9. The Apex pilot network
Through our "Hire a pilot" pages, customers anywhere in the United States (homeowners, real estate agents, builders, and crane, tree, roofing and restoration companies) can request drone work for a specific property, and independent pilots can sign up to fly those jobs. These terms apply to the network.
Bookings made with Apex UAV. Your booking may be flown by Jonnie or by a vetted Apex network pilot near you. Your price stays the same, you still pay Apex UAV, Apex is still your contact, and you'll get an email if a network pilot is flying it. Every pilot follows every rule in this section.
- Owner consent comes first. A job only opens to pilots after the property owner (or someone with authority over the property) gives written consent, either by signing our consent link or, if the customer owns the property, by signing when they post the job. Florida Statute 934.50 requires written consent for certain drone imaging of private property in Florida, and we follow the same rule in every state. Customers must not post addresses without the owner's knowledge, and we don't fly neighborhoods looking for damage. Never sign for an owner, or tick "I own this property," unless it's true. If you do, we cancel the job, keep any fees, close your account, and you cover any claim, fine or legal cost it causes us or our pilot.
- Prices and payment. Customers who book on our website pay the listed price for each job, plus the rush fee if they choose it, a booking fee of 5% (at least $5, at most $25) and no travel fees. Businesses that post a job pay the listed price, plus the rush fee if they choose it, with no booking fee and no travel fees. They pay a 50% deposit by card when they post a job, and the job opens to pilots once the deposit is paid and the owner has signed. The rest is due within 7 days of delivery. Full-size files unlock once it's paid.
- Money-back guarantee. Network jobs have the same 30-day money-back guarantee as other bookings (see section 3): a free fix or reshoot first, then a refund if that doesn't make it right. Apex reviews every case and pays refunds. A pilot gives back their pay for a job only if the problem was their fault.
- Late cancellations and no access. If a business cancels a network job less than 48 hours before the flight, or the pilot can't get access, the business pays a trip fee of 50% of the job price, and Apex keeps the deposit for it. Cancel with 48 hours' notice or more and the deposit is refunded, minus card fees. Balances are due in 7 days. Late invoices pause new job posts on the account and add a late fee of 1.5% a month. If we send an unpaid invoice to collections, the business also pays what it costs to collect.
- Don't hire our pilots around us. For 12 months after a pilot you met through Apex flies a job for you, don't hire them for drone work outside Apex. If you do, you owe Apex a placement fee of 25% of what you paid Apex for jobs in the 12 months before you hired them, or $250, whichever is more. It covers what Apex loses when the work moves away, and it's due within 30 days of our invoice.
- Pilots are independent contractors, not Apex UAV employees. Before a pilot can see or accept any job, Apex UAV verifies their FAA Part 107 certificate and their liability insurance, has them sign the Independent Contractor Agreement in the pilot app, collects a copy of their driver's license and Remote Pilot certificate, and reviews and approves each pilot personally. Apex UAV does not work with pilots who have a felony conviction. Apex UAV pays pilots by direct deposit through its payroll provider, which collects their tax information (W-9 details) and bank account directly. Pilots must follow all FAA rules, including temporary flight restrictions, and never fly over people. Apex UAV keeps a service fee of 10% to 14% of each job's price, depending on the pilot's level. Pilots pay no fee to join, no lead fees and no bid fees. Apex UAV pays the pilot within 2 business days after it approves the delivered files. Customers never pay travel. When a job of $150 or more (after any discount) is more than 100 miles from the pilot's home, Apex UAV automatically adds a flat $25 for mileage to the pilot's pay. Jobs under $150 don't include mileage. Under the money-back guarantee, the owner or a manager of Apex UAV reviews every case. If the problem was the pilot's fault, the pilot who flew the job goes back and reshoots it with no extra pay and no mileage, however far it is.
- First come, first served. Cleared pilots are emailed about open jobs in the ZIP code areas they cover, and the first to accept a set-price job gets it. Apex UAV may reassign a job if a pilot can't complete it.
- Custom projects. A customer may post a custom project with a budget. Pilots may accept the budget, pass, or send a counter offer. The customer chooses which offer to accept, and the accepted price becomes the job price. Nobody is obligated until an offer is accepted.
- Pilot reward levels. Pilots keep 86% of the job price at Bronze level (0–9 completed jobs), 88% at Silver (10–24) and 90% at Gold (25 or more). Reliable pilots get 1% more, up to 90%. Gold pilots see new jobs 10 minutes before others.
- Pilots never take payment from customers. No cash, checks, payment apps, trades or services in exchange for any part of a job. Customers pay Apex UAV online only, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. If a customer offers to pay you directly, tell them every payment goes through Apex online and let Apex know. Taking payment from a customer is grounds for removal from the network.
- Your pay is locked when you accept. The dollar amount a pilot sees when they accept a job is what they get paid. Apex UAV never lowers it after that, for any reason, even if the customer's price changes. Apex UAV may change levels or rates for future jobs with notice.
- Referral bonus. A pilot or other pro who refers someone new gets a $50 bonus when that person finishes their first 3 Apex jobs. It is paid with the next payout. You can't refer yourself, each new pro counts once, and Apex UAV may hold a bonus that looks like abuse.
- Imagery only. Storm photos and video show what the camera saw. They are not an inspection, engineering opinion or damage estimate. The business that ordered them, and its estimators, make their own decisions.
- Use of network photos. Photos from network jobs go only to the customer who ordered them and to Apex UAV, for that job. They're never sold. If the customer who ordered the job said yes, we may show up to two photos and one short clip from it in our portfolio, with no address or names. The pilot who flew it can't use them anywhere else.
- Specialty jobs. Some jobs, like thermal roof and solar scans, are offered only to pilots who hold a verified, unexpired certification for that work (for thermal, Level I thermography or higher) and a verified drone with the right camera, on top of their FAA Part 107 certificate. Lost pet searches need a verified thermal drone and a Part 107 certificate, but no thermography certification. Each drone must carry its FAA registration. Thermal images show surface temperature differences; they are not an inspection or a diagnosis.
- Showing up. Pilots must set a flight time within a day of taking a job, check in on site at that time, and deliver photos within 48 hours of the flight. Check-ins record the time and, if the pilot allows it, their phone's location. Two no-shows within 90 days pause the pilot's account until Apex UAV reviews it.
- If a pilot's insurance, Part 107 or drone registration lapses, they may not fly any Apex job, including ones they already accepted. Apex reassigns it.
- Insurance, registration and records: no insurance, no jobs. Every pilot must carry their own drone liability insurance with at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, upload a copy of the policy (declarations page or certificate of insurance), and keep it current. Every drone flown on an Apex job must have a current FAA registration and broadcast Remote ID, and must be on the pilot's profile with its registration number, expiration date and a photo of its registration label. A pilot is automatically paused from new jobs the day their insurance or Part 107 currency lapses, or when they have no verified drone with a current registration, and stays paused until Apex UAV approves the renewal. Apex UAV reminds pilots 30 and 7 days before anything expires, but keeping it current is the pilot's responsibility. Giving false insurance or registration information is grounds for permanent removal.
- Flight logs. Every flight on an Apex job needs a completed flight log: takeoff and landing times, highest altitude, the drone and its registration, the airspace and restriction checks done before flying, and any incident. A network job can't be marked delivered until its log is finished. Pilots must tell Apex UAV right away about any accident, and must report to the FAA within 10 days any accident that causes serious injury, any loss of consciousness, or more than $500 of damage to property other than the drone (14 CFR 107.9). Apex UAV keeps flight logs for at least 3 years. We share them with the FAA when its rules require it, and with anyone else only when served with a valid subpoena, search warrant or court order.
- Proof of credentials for customers. Customers can ask for proof that their pilot is licensed and insured. When they do, Apex UAV emails the customer on that job the pilot's name, Part 107 certificate number, insurance company, policy number, coverage, expiration date, a 7-day link to the pilot's policy copy, and their drones' FAA registration numbers. Signed-in customers can also see a pilot profile with the pilot's first name and last initial, city, and whether their license, insurance and drone registrations are current, but not full numbers or contact details. By joining the network, pilots agree to this.
- Removal. Apex UAV may pause or remove any pilot or company that breaks these terms, the law or FAA rules.
10. Part 107 training
Apex UAV sells Part 107 study materials (the Study Guide and the Pro Bundle) on our Training page. You sign in with your email, pay through Square, and get access as soon as Square confirms the payment.
- Your license. You get a personal, non-transferable license to use the materials for your own study, on any of your devices, for as long as Apex UAV offers them. Don't share your sign-in, post the materials online, or resell them. We may end access for anyone who does.
- Upgrades. If you own the Study Guide, you can upgrade to the Pro Bundle for the difference in price.
- Refunds. Because you get the full materials instantly, sales are final (the 30-day money-back guarantee covers drone jobs, not training). If something doesn't open or work, email flyapexuav@gmail.com and we'll fix it or refund you.
- No guarantee. The materials are a study aid built from the FAA's public study materials and test standards. Buying them does not guarantee a passing score on the FAA test: your result depends on your own study and preparation. We recommend at least 30 hours of study before you take the test, and you confirm you understand this before you buy. The regulations and the FAA's official materials always control, and rules change, so check the FAA's site for the latest. Apex UAV isn't affiliated with the FAA, PSI or the TSA, and the FAA test fee isn't included.
10a. Text messages
If you tick "Text me about this booking," Apex UAV will text the mobile number you gave us about that booking: confirmation, reminders, weather or schedule changes, and approvals. About 2 to 6 texts per booking. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, or HELP for help, or call (386) 243-5716. Agreeing to texts is never required to book. Carriers aren't responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy.
10b. Affiliate program
- Joining. Anyone 18 or older in the United States can apply. Apex UAV approves each affiliate and can decline, pause or end an account at any time, for example for breaking these rules. Joining is free.
- What counts. A new customer who books within 30 days of clicking your link becomes your customer for 12 months from their first booking. New means they haven't booked with us before, by email or at that address. You can't earn on your own bookings. A booking that uses a customer referral code earns that $25 referral credit instead of a commission. Business accounts on the Apex pilot network don't count.
- What you earn. 5% of what the customer pays for the package after discounts, on jobs of $150 or more after discounts, once the job is paid in full. Booking fees and gift card purchases don't count. A job that is refunded, charged back or cancelled earns nothing.
- When you're paid. Commissions are held for 30 days after the job is paid in full, in case the customer asks for a refund under our 30-day guarantee, then paid monthly once $25 or more is ready, by PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or check. Smaller amounts roll over. We need a signed W-9 before your first payout, and we send a 1099 when the law requires it (for 2026, if we pay you $2,000 or more in a year). You're responsible for your own taxes. You're an independent affiliate, not an Apex UAV employee or agent.
- How you share it. Say clearly that you earn a commission whenever you share your link, as the FTC requires (for example "#ad" or "I earn a commission if you book").
